What is Public Files DropBox?

Do you want to share specific files with your friends or business partners without sharing your userid and password with them?

Now it comes to the scene Public Files DropBox .... which practically is a folder created by you in your account space and shared to public access.

The public will not need any user or password to access your Public Files DropBox.In fact it will be used a random user name and password to access this space.

Let's take as example user Tom which creates inside his account a Folder named "SHARE".This folder Tom wants to be shared with his friends.He will ask us, by e-mail, to create a link to this Folder and will notify us that this link should be called "Pictures".After the creation of the link by our admins, Tom's shared folder will  be accessed by public at http://login.transferum.com/files/Pictures.

You will have the full range of permissions and your visitors will be able to Download, Upload, Create Folder, etc or any other permissions combination requested by you.

The amount of space of DropBox is included into the total amount of your account storage space and can have any dimension up to maximum of your account storage space.

For free accounts the maximum dimension can be 512MB and you are eligible just to 1(one) Public Files DropBox, available for 3 days.

For paid accounts you are eligible for up to 3 Public Files DropBoxes.At your request your public dropbox can be as large as your basic subscription.

To request the creation of your Public Files DropBox here is what you have to do:

1. create a folder at your own will inside your account

2. write an e-mail to our support team at support@transferum.com specifying :

a. the folder name which you want to become your DropBox,

b. the name of the link you want to point to your DropBox( http://login.transferum.com/files/your_link_name_here ),

c. the dimension of your desired DropBox

Like this your friends will be able to send you files but not to delete them.
